Paver Patios, Boulder Walls, and Full Excavation - Nearly There

This one has been a big undertaking. We started with a full excavation - moving dirt, grading the site, and laying the groundwork that makes everything else possible. It's not glamorous work, but it's the part that determines whether the finished product holds up for decades or starts shifting after the first winter.

With the dirt work done, we built out the boulder walls. Natural boulders like these do a great job of holding back grade changes while giving the space a look that feels like it belongs there - nothing manufactured or forced about it. The dark slab steps cutting through the wall tie the whole thing together and give you a clean, functional path up to the deck.

Then came the paver patios. We went with large-format pavers in a staggered pattern, with a darker soldier-course border running through the middle as a visual divider between the two patio areas. That kind of detail is what separates a patio that just exists from one that actually looks intentional and well-designed.

Right now we're in the final stretch. The stonework is all set - the patios are in, the walls are done, the steps are solid. What's left is the finishing layer: plants, lighting, and mulch. Those elements are what turn a construction site into an actual outdoor living space. It's the part most people don't think about until the end, but it makes an enormous difference in how the whole space feels when you're standing in it.

Projects like this are why we love what we do. It starts as raw dirt and a plan, and it ends as something the homeowner will use and enjoy for years. We're excited to share the finished product once those last details are wrapped up.
